Originally I thought to call his blog ” Shooting from the Hip”, because I tend to do just that. My posts will deal with people, food, places I’ve been or want to go, pets and other animals, the world around us and more. Please sign up and come along, once in a while or whenever there’s a new post. I’d also love to get your comments. But I digress…

Mari, I love your October Blog, but for some reason was/am not able to pull up the July 29th one. Keep them coming.
Cherry Valley — that’s where I wanted Bob and me to retire to (or Italy) many years ago. I used to drive with other fellow students from Buffalo to Cambridge many many times, along route 5, even before the Thruway went in, or even after, as the scenery was magnificent.
There was a goat farm (ranch?) in the Cherry Valley which I hoped to emulate, as I had 2 Togenberg kids for a while in Chappaqua and absolutely loved them, along with a variety of rabbits I raised (Siamese Silks; Belgian Dwarfs). Bob specialized in chickens and 2 pigs. We had 3 acres and loved the thought of having a farm later. Long ago, right?
Perhaps there was more about family in your July Blog?
Fondly,
Elinor
